Leopardstown gets go-ahead

Officials gave today's Leopardstown meeting the go-ahead following a 9am inspection this morning with temperatures due to rise.

The meeting, which is set to feature the Leopardstown Golf Centre December Festival Hurdle, had been under threat after an overnight frost.

Irish Turf Club spokesman Cliff Noone said: “Racing goes ahead. It’s a nice, bright morning here and they expect the frost to come out of the ground long before racing starts.

“The ground remains yielding on the hurdles course and yielding to soft on the chase course.”
