Carlisle on after inspection

Racing at Carlisle goes ahead this afternoon following an inspection.

Conditions are officially heavy but clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch said: “We are going ahead.

“We had two millimetres of rain overnight, there is set to be a bit more drizzle around until midday but nothing significant.

“We are heavy and it will be pretty testing.”

The first of six races on the card is due off at 12.50.
