Uttoxeter Friday card abandoned
Tomorrow’s meeting at Uttoxeter has been abandoned due to waterlogging.
Clerk of the course Keith Ottesen was forced to call off the National Hunt card as a consequence of the torrential downpours last weekend.
Ottesen said: “There has been insufficient improvement since the weekend’s flooding.
“We wanted to make the call early to give everyone enough time to rearrange their plans.”
A decision had earlier in the week been made to cancel the two scheduled races over fences.
