Frosty Ludlow abandoned

Ludlow officials have abandoned this afternoon’s meeting because of a frozen track.

Overnight temperatures dropped to as low as minus-four degrees and the situation failed to significantly improve by daybreak.

Clerk of the course Bob Davies confirmed: “After inspecting the course this morning, we’ve had to abandon.

“The temperature first thing this morning was zero degrees and the track is still frozen.”
