Fairyhouse owners delighted with crowds
Fairyhouse executives expressed themselves delighted after their two-day Winter Festival managed to beat the weather with a host of top-class racing.
Yesterday’s meeting was shrouded in fog but went ahead as planned, while Sunday’s Grade One-studded action took place after the course passed a 7.30am inspection, with a forecast overnight frost failing to materialise.
Racecourse manager Caroline Gray said: “The sun came out and we had a beautiful day for it, even if it was a little cold.
“Nearly 5,000 people came racing today, and they have been treated to some fantastic racing.”
