Henderson hails five-star team
Nicky Henderson gave his horses a clean bill of health following a brilliant five-timer on Saturday.
The Seven Barrows trainer enjoyed a terrific treble at Ascot with Jack The Giant, Chomba Womba and My Petra, Binocular was on target at Haydock while Bonikos won at Huntingdon on a day to remember.
“It was a great day and all the horses are fine this morning,” said Henderson.
“I was very, very pleased with Jack The Giant. He travelled well, Barry (Geraghty) gave him a super ride and everything went really well.
“Chomba Womba is very tough and Bincoular was impressive up at Haydock.”
Henderson will be chasing more big prizes next weekend with Oedipe going for the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Newbury and Punjabi running in the WBX.com “Fighting Fifth” Hurdle at Newcastle.
“Punjabi is heading to Newcastle, that’s the plan, and Oedipe is on course for the Hennessy,” he added.
