Aintree call early check

There will be a precautionary inspection at 7.30am ahead of Aintree’s Becher Chase meeting.

Clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch will take a look due to the possibility of snow.

“There is a risk of some snow in the early hours of tomorrow but that should turn into rain giving us no problems,” he said.

“Temperatures are due to rise to seven or eight degrees later in the morning.

“All the indications are that we will have no problems. The inspection is taking place just in case the forecasters have got it wrong and the snow settles.”
