Rasen stage morning inspection

Sunday’s meeting at Market Rasen will only be given the go-ahead if the course passes a 7.30am precautionary inspection.

The Lincolnshire venue is heavy, waterlogged in places after 5mm of overnight rain.

Clerk of the course Nick Patton said: “It has been very damp and wet and there is 8mm of further rain forecast.

“It would be 50-50 if that was the case.

“The majority of the course has taken the rain very well, there’s just one or two problem areas.”
