Bid comes out on top
Top Bid made virtually all the running on the far side to land the Pinnacle Racing “Friendly Successful Racehorse Partnership” Handicap at Nottingham.
Low numbers had the edge over the straight five-furlong course as Tim Easterby’s gelding made the most of his one draw to land his first success since May 2006.
David Allan, taking his yearly tally to a best-ever haul of 61, had the 10-1 shot smartly out of the stalls and easily shrugged off the 9-2 favourite Jakeini by a length and three-quarters.
Tanley was another half a length back in third, with Majestic Cheer fourth.l
