Ayr inspect

Ayr are holding an 8am inspection on Thursday to decide whether Saturday’s meeting can go ahead.

Heavy showers are forecast with the track currently heavy.

Clerk of the course Katherine Self said: “Basically we have a problem with drainage on the land adjacent to the home straight, about two and a half furlongs from the finish.

“It has been made worse with the bad weather we have been having and with the travelling involved to get to the course, we have decided it would be prudent to have a look at the track tomorrow.”
