Nottingham given green light
This afternoon’s meeting at Nottingham goes ahead as scheduled after track officials brought forward a planned a 7.30am precautionary inspection.
Clerk of the course Nick Patton had been worried about the forecast of cold temperatures and the possibility of snow overnight, but after arriving at the track this morning, he found conditions to be perfectly raceable and was able to give the meeting the green light.
“We only got down to just under minus one overnight and temperatures are rising now so we are going to be fine,” said Patton.
“It’s going to be a fine, sunny morning so we were able to bring the inspection forward and we are very much fit to race.”
