Europe team Size up Morgiana

Sizing Europe is set to start off his campaign in the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown on November 16.

The six-year-old has not been seen since disappointing in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, having been sent off favourite following a brilliant display in Leopardstown’s AIG Europe Champion Hurdle in January.

Trainer Henry de Bromhead reports the gelding to be in fine shape, however, and ready for a return to action next month.

“He seems in great form and we’re very happy with him,” said the Waterford trainer.

“We’re going to stick hurdling with him and hopefully he’ll reappear in the Morgiana in the middle of next month.”

Sizing Europe is third favourite, at around 10-1, for the Smurfit Kappa Champion Hurdle next March.
