Haggas hoping for dry spell

William Haggas is hoping for drying conditions ahead of Enticing’s likely run in Saturday’s Dubai Duty Free 25th Anniversary World Trophy at Newbury.

After running a number of fine races in defeat, the filly secured her first victory in well over a year in the Audi Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last time.

The four-year-old’s main target is the Prix de l’Abbaye at Longchamp on October 5 and Haggas believes this race should leave her spot on for that event.

“Enticing will probably take her chance at Newbury but she does need the ground to start drying really,” said Haggas.

“She is in really good form and I was delighted with her at Goodwood last time as she won really well.

“She just needs another run before the Abbaye and hopefully this should leave her spot on for that.”
