Stratford call check

Stratford have called a precautionary inspection for 7am ahead of Sunday’s meeting.

The track is currently raceable but clerk of the course Stephen Lambert is keeping a close eye both on the skies and the nearby River Avon.

He said: “We have had 18 millimetres of rain so we are now heavy. We have called a precautionary inspection for 7am.

“Racing will go ahead unless the river bursts its banks or we get more rain.

“We are forecast a dry day but the river is close to the top it will depend on what happens higher up for that.”
