Lord Shanakill leads Childers charge
Lord Shanakill, third in the Prix Morny last time out, leads the charge for Friday’s Polypipe Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster.
Karl Burke’s charge has scored three places in Pattern-race company this term, most recently when just three lengths behind Bushranger at Deauville.
He is part of a strong Yorkshire-trained team, with Kevin Ryan fielding Senor Mirasol and Madame Trop Vite, while Tim Easterby sends out Anglezarke.
Lowther fourth Danehill Destiny takes her chance for William Haggas, while Doncaster Rover would be an aptly-named winner for Stewart Parr.
Jeremy Noseda won the five-furlong race with Fleeting Spirit last year and Mythical Border is his representative this time.
Saucy Brown, Bahamian Babe, Coconut Shy, Kerrys Requiem and Shyrl complete the 12-strong line-up.
