Beverley meet to go ahead

This afternoon’s meeting at Beverley has been given the go-ahead after officials called a precautionary inspection for 12.15pm.

A planned check for Monday afternoon was cancelled after a dry day but sustained rain on Tuesday morning forced officials into taking a look.

The rain abated in time for the meeting to go ahead as scheduled, however.

“Racing goes ahead as planned,” said Iggulden.

“It has stopped raining now but we will monitor the situation as the day goes on. We do have more rain forecast.”
