Putra camp plot Million raid

Michael Jarvis reports Sri Putra to be in good shape following his victory in the Solario Stakes at Sandown.

An impressive winner on his debut at Newbury, the son of Oasis Dream showed he is more than capable of holding his own in Group company when denying The Cheka by half a length in Surrey at the weekend.

The juvenile holds a number of big-race entries for later this season, although Jarvis is currently favouring the Tattersalls Timeform Million at Newmarket on October 4.

“We were delighted with Sri Putra in the Solario and he has come out of the race very, very well,” said the trainer.

“He is a colt we have always liked and the plan for him now is the Tattersalls Million.

“He has now won in Group company, which is great, and hopefully he continues to progress.”
