Tramore meets abandoned

Officials at Tramore have been forced to abandon their meetings scheduled for tonight and tomorrow due to waterlogging.

A 12.30pm inspection was called earlier today due to persistent rain and with conditions showing no signs of improvement, officials were left with no option but to cancel both cards.

"The track has taken a real battering," said Irish Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone.

"The track is now waterlogged in places so they have abandoned tonight's meeting, as well as tomorrow's."
