In The Light targets Listed prize

Connections of In The Light hope she can pick up her first victory in Listed company in the EBF Upavon Fillies’ Stakes at Salisbury tomorrow.

The Andre Fabre inmate has been placed a number of times at this level in her native France and was an impressive winner at Longchamp last time.

Dorset-based owner James Wigan is looking forward to seeing her run for the first time in the UK, but hopes she will handle the likely testing ground at the Wiltshire venue.

“She seems to be fine and Andre wouldn’t be bringing her over if she wasn’t well,” insisted Wigan.

“We have had quite a lot of rain recently so how she will cope with the soft ground, I don’t know.

“Obviously we were really pleased with her last run and she did it very well, so we are just hoping to pick up a Listed race and take it from there.”
