Multi enters York equation
Multidimensional will be confirmed for the Juddmonte International Stakes at Wednesday’s acceptance stage for the Group One at York.
The five-year-old, trained by Henry Cecil, returned to winning ways in the Group Three Lancaster Stakes under gruelling conditions at Haydock on Saturday and is reported to have come out of the race in good form.
“Multidimensional appears to be in fine fettle and he remains a possible for the Juddmonte on Tuesday,” said Alan Cooper, racing manager to owners the Niarchos Family.
“Saturday’s win was very pleasing. He’ll be confirmed tomorrow and then we don’t have to decide definitely until the final declaration stage on Sunday.”
Multidimensional, runner-up in the Hardwicke Stakes and seventh in the Coral-Eclipse on his two previous starts, is 25-1 for the International, in which multiple Group One winner Duke Of Marmalade is the odds-on favourite.
