Goldie tempted by Shergar chance
Jim Goldie is eyeing next weekend’s Shergar Cup meeting as a possible next port of call for Nanton after the six-year-old ended a two-year losing streak at Doncaster.
Formerly trained by Paul Cole and then Noel Wilson, the 4-1 chance was held up last in the early stages of the Unison Positively Public Stakes by Daniel Tudhope but made stealthy headway in the straight.
