Dhar aiming to deliver
Jim Goldie is hoping Dhaular Dhar can go one better in the totesport Mile at Goodwood tomorrow following his fine effort at Ascot last Saturday.
The six-year-old was only beaten a length and a quarter by Laa Rayb in the totesport International and he has won over tomorrow’s course and distance.
“We were obviously delighted with him at Ascot. He’s come out of the race fine and we’re looking forward to running him,” said the Glasgow trainer.
Dhaular Dhar does not appear to be well drawn in stall three but that does not worry Goldie.
“I’m happy enough with the draw. I just think that sometimes if you get a good draw it’s a poisoned chalice. At least with that draw we should get a run,” he went on.
“He’s in cracking form and if he reproduces that he should run a big race. It’s a different course and a different day but he has won over the course and distance.”
