Stewart hoping for Plate prize

Leading owner Andy Stewart believes Oslot deserves his place at the head of the market for next week's William Hill Galway Plate.

The Paul Nicholls-trained six-year-old, as short as 5-1 with a number of firms, has won four of his five starts over fences and was last seen landing a Newton Abbot novice chase by eight lengths.

With Irish champion jockey Ruby Walsh set to be in the plate on Wednesday, Stewart, who will also be represented by top-weight Hoo La Baloo, thinks Oslot will take all the beating.

"With Hoo La Baloo on 11st 12lb and Oslot on just 10st 13lb, I think he really deserves to be the favourite and he obviously has Ruby Walsh on board," he told At The Races.
