Willie Mullins will saddle Emma Jane and Irish Invader in the William Hill Galway Plate next Wednesday.

The pair completed back-to-back wins at the end of last season with victories at the Punchestown Festival.

Irish Invader has since raced at the Killarney Festival when finishing second to stablemate Davenport Democrat.

Mullins said: “I hope to have a nice team with a few runners at Galway, and both Emma Jane and Irish Invader will run in the Plate.

“Emma Jane won her first handicap at Punchestown and Davy Condon gave her a great ride that day.

“The right-handed track at Galway should suit her and she looks nicely in at the weights.

“Irish Invader likes decent ground so we decided not to slog him through the winter.

“That decision paid off as he came back and won at Punchestown, and he should have no problem with the trip next week.”

Emma Jane is marginally preferred by sponsors William Hill, who quote the eight-year-old mare at 10-1.

Irish Invader is a 14-1 chance.
