White team favour Goodwood tilt
Bunbury Cup winner Little White Lie will bid for another valuable handicap prize in the near future, with trainer John Jenkins leaning towards a trip to Glorious Goodwood.
The four-year-old, who was previously trained in Ireland by Ger Lyons, also has the option of the seven-furlong totesport International at Ascot on Saturday week.
But Little White Lie, who has reportedly come out of his Newmarket exertions in great nick, seems more likely to bid for a hat-trick in the totesport Mile.
“He’s brilliant and I’m really happy with him as he’s come out his last race absolutely fine,” explained Jenkins.
“He’s in the race at Goodwood and the International at Ascot and he’ll go for one or the other, most probably the one at Goodwood.
“He’s done really well for us but I gave him one piece of work when we got him and thought that he was a really good horse.
“I thought we’d win a good race with him but it’s hard to say you’re going to win a Bunbury Cup.
“He shows a lot of speed – he’s certainly not a slow horse – and he’s pretty versatile.”
