Nelson eclipses Sandown rivals

Aidan O’Brien and Johnny Murtagh bagged another Group One on British shores as Mount Nelson earned a last-gasp win in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown.

Sent off at 7-2, the Rock Of Gibraltar colt came with a sustained drive inside the final quarter-mile to master the Henry Cecil-trained 5-2 favourite Phoenix Tower right on the line.
