Tony Martin is eyeing the Galway Festival for Arc Bleu following his triumph in the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle on Saturday.

The County Meath is considering a Flat race for amateur riders and a handicap hurdle for the seven-year-old, who got in the Pitmen’s Derby as first reserve to beat Halla San by a head.

“We’ll give him a good rest for 10 or 12 days and then hopefully it will be Galway,” said Martin.

“He has a choice and he’ll probably go for the amateur Flat race there on the Monday night or a handicap hurdle.

“Hopefully Galway would be the intention in just under four weeks,” he told At The Races.
