Edge Closer takes Salisbury victory

Edge Closer ran out an impressive winner of Salisbury's Axminster Carpets Cathedral Stakes as Robin Bastiman's Borderlescott had to settle for second once more.

The runner-up has been the bridesmaid in some top contests over the course of the last two campaigns and filled that spot behind King's Stand Stakes favourite Fleeting Spirit in the Temple Stakes last month.
