Murphy avoids serious injury

Timmy Murphy has escaped serious injury following his fall at Southwell on Tuesday evening.

The Grand National-winning jockey was riding Explosive Fox for his close friend Sean Curran in the Spain v Russia In Play At Betdaq Novices’ Handicap Chase when the pair parted company three-out, at which point the race was seemingly in the bag.
