Sunday’s meeting at Stratford hinges on a 7.30am inspection on Friday morning.

The Warwickshire venue has been hit with a deluge over the last week, with the going currently heavy, waterlogged in places.

Clerk of the course Stephen Lambert said: “We’ve had 72 millimetres of rain since last Friday and therefore need to inspect.

“The forecast is for light showers. The track does dry out pretty quickly but my goodness, it will need to.”
