Those pulled out included the clear top three in the betting from the morning forecast and a reshuffle saw Brian Meehan’s colt sent off the 8-15 favourite.

After pulling past his only market rival Sally’s Dilemma, Zezao coasted home to score by six lengths hard-held.

“If they were all like that it would be nice,” said winning jockey Neil Callan.

“He’s a straight-forward sort of horse and was a lot more relaxed than on his first run.”
