Another classic Angle for Bary
Pascal Bary could be out for more Classic glory this weekend with Arcadia’s Angle, who may take his chance as a lively outsider in Sunday’s French 2000 Guineas at Longchamp.
The Niarchos family-owned colt has certainly nothing like the profile of Bary’s Newmarket 1000 winner Natagora but is developing along slowly.
Alan Cooper, the family’s racing manager, said: “Arcadia’s Angle could possibly go there, although Pascal will probably wait until later in the week to decide.
“We’re hopeful he might turn into a nice horse. He’s by our Eclipse Award winner Aldebaran and seems a nice sort.
“He won a couple last year and was second on his seasonal reappearance in the Prix Omnium. He was fourth last time, but that was a very messy race and we felt he could have finished a lot closer.”
