Utmost Respect is to be given the chance to prove himself in Pattern company at York next month.

The progressive sprinter will tackle the Group Two Duke of York Hearthstead Homes Stakes on May 14 after making a successful reappearance at Thirsk.

“York is the plan at the minute,” said trainer Richard Fahey.

“On the day at Thirsk I think some horses under performed and it probably looked more impressive than it was, but he did it well.

“We felt there was improvement in him at Thirsk so it will be interesting to see. They’ll have to be improvement where he’s going.”

The Danetime gelding has had just seven races, winning four times including the Ayr Silver Cup.
