Our Vic wins Bowl Chase

Timmy Murphy brought Our Vic with a renewed effort to beat Kauto Star in a thrilling renewal of the totesport Bowl Chase.

The David Pipe-trained 9-1 chance, winner of the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham, looked in trouble when Kauto Star jumped into a clear lead at the third-last fence.

But a bad error at the penultimate obstacle seemed to knock the stuffing out of the 4-7 favourite and Our Vic came with a sustained drive to mug him close home.
