Davy Russell had set out to make all on Colm Murphy’s charge, who had finished second to smart mare J’y Vole on his last start.

It looked like it had paid off as a sloppy leap from Conna Castle (7-2) at the last appeared to put paid to his chances.

However, Carberry galvanised his mount for one final lunge and won by half a length.

Sky’s The Limit dropped away tamely two out.
