Lingfield take a look

Lingfield will hold a precautionary inspection at 7.30am on Sunday ahead of Monday’s meeting.

Although clerk of the course Neil Mackenzie-Ross reports the track to be fit for action at present, he is concerned by the weather forecast.

“We are raceable at the moment but in view of the forecast tonight, we thought it best to take a look,” he said.

“There is some heavy rain forecast to move in tonight and we could get as much as 14 or 15 millimetres so we thought it best to have a look and see where we go from there.

“We will take a bit more rain but if we were to get 20 millimetres or something like that, we could be in trouble.”
