Blinkers work a treat for Our Vic
First-time blinkers worked the oracle for Our Vic in the Ryanair Chase.
David Pipe’s charge has threatened to deliver so many times in the past and did so this time as he made all the running in the hands of Timmy Murphy.
The 4-1 shot, owned by David Johnson, kept up the gallop after the last to beat Mossbank comfortably with Turko third.
Our Vic enjoyed himself from the outset as he led The Listener over the early fences, with Turko handy and Mossbank and L'Antartique bringing up the rear.
After shrugging off the early challengers with ease, Our Vic still had enough left in the tank to hold Mossbank by five lengths, with Turko another seven lengths back.
