Ayr gets go-ahead

Today’s meeting at Ayr goes ahead following an early morning inspection.

The going is described as heavy following 2.8mm of rain overnight and fresh ground will be used on the bends on both the chase and hurdles courses.

Clerk of the Course Katherine Self said: “We’re delighted to be going ahead. Everyone was keen for us to race and all credit to the jockeys who rode here yesterday for being so sensible in the testing conditions.”
