Catterick gets go-ahead
This afternoon’s meeting at Catterick will go ahead as planned after the North Yorkshire track passed an inspection at 10.30am.
Temperatures dropped well below freezing overnight, hitting as low as minus three, which left areas of the track frozen.
However, after taking an official look, clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson was satisfied with conditions and gave the fixture the go-ahead.
Sanderson said: “Racing goes ahead. The going is good to firm but we’re fine to race.”
