Fontwell check again

Fontwell will hold a second inspection at 9am ahead of this afternoon’s meeting.

Clerk of the course Ed Arkell took an initial look at 7am but that proved inconclusive following a cold night at the track.

He said: “We are going to have another look at 9am.

“It went to minus three overnight but we are currently plus two, the temperature is rising and the sun is on the course.

“We are still optimistic of going ahead.”
