A second Cheltenham Festival winner moved a step closer for Tralee handler Tom Cooper as River Liane produced a special performance in the Madigans Hurdle at Leopardstown.

Cooper saddled the ill-fated mare Total Enjoyment to a famous victory in the 2004 Champion Bumper but has drawn a blank during the intervening years.
