Tomorrow’s meeting at Ludlow has become the latest victim of the current cold snap after frost claimed their card.

Clerk of the course Bob Davies inspected the track at 8am after a series of very cold nights and he was left with no choice but to abandon.

He said: “We haven’t been raceable since Saturday. We went down to minus seven last night and it's still minus six now.

“The frost is about two inches into the ground and there’s no hope of it coming out in time. If the forecast is correct, we might be raceable by Thursday afternoon.”
