Uttoxeter forced to look again

This afternoon’s meeting at Uttoxeter is subject to a further inspection at 10am.

Despite frost covers having been deployed over the whole of the track, temperatures of minus six meant that some frost did reach the turf.

Clerk of the course Keith Ottesen said: “It’s been minus six, we are minus four now and we have a very slight frost penetration underneath the covers so we will have another inspection at 10am.

“Daytime temperatures are due to get up to six degrees and a sunny day so we will have a very good indication then of where we are going.”
