Forpadytheplasterer grabs Deloitte Novice Hurdle
Forpadydeplasterer (11-4) emerged as a serious threat to all at Cheltenham with a stylish victory in the Deloitte Novice Hurdle.
The Grade One event has a rich history but it was Harrington’s Cork All Star who was sent off favourite to confirm himself as Ireland’s leading novice hurdler.
However, his jumping let him down once again and Davy Russell always appeared to have more up his sleeve on Tom Cooper’s charge.
Whatuthink, who beat both principles in December, failed to give his running leaving Forpadydeplasterer to come home one and a quarter lengths ahead of the 6-4 market leader.
