Miami heading to Warwick

Moon Over Miami will put the finishing touches to his Arkle preparations in the Systems By Design Kingmaker Novices’ Chase at Warwick on Saturday.

Charlie Mann’s exciting seven-year-old has won two of his four starts over fences to date and features prominently in the ante-post lists for the two-mile novice championship event.

This weekend’s race has been used as a stepping stone to Arkle glory by Flagship Uberalles and Voy Por Ustedes in recent years.

“He definitely runs,” said Mann.

“He needs the run, he is a horse that gets a bit above himself so he will be quite fresh on Saturday and the Kingmaker has always been his target.

“He’ll love the ground and he’s in very, very good form so he definitely runs.

“Some good horses have won this race down the years and it comes at the right time for him and fits perfectly in to our preparations.

“He’s in very good form and I’m very much looking forward to Saturday.”

Moon Over Miami is the 8-1 second-favourite for the Arkle with Stan James.
