Punchestown racecourse is to stage the richest handicap hurdle ever run in Europe as part of this year's National Hunt Festival.

Punchestown racecourse is to stage the richest handicap hurdle ever run in Europe as part of this year's National Hunt Festival.

The €220,000 Ballymore 25th Anniversary Hurdle will be the centrepiece of the Saturday card at April's meeting.

It will be run over 2.5 miles and will be sponsored by Kildare-based Ballymore Properties.
