Injured Glencove Marina out for rest of season
The Willie Mullins-trained Glencove Marina, who had shot into the list of major Irish hopes for the Cheltenham Festival in March, has been ruled out of racing for at least the rest of the season.
His win at Leopardstown earlier this month saw him rocket to the head of the market for the Royal Sun Alliance Chase, the main three-mile novice race at Prestbury Park.
However, Mullins has confirmed that the horse, who he has described as one of his most exciting prospects, has a leg injury and faces a long time on the easy list.
Meanwhile, a track inspection is due to be carried out at Navan this morning to determine if Saturday's card can go ahead as planned.
An initial inspection on Wednesday found the course to be waterlogged.
