Former Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Kicking King will face three heavyweight rivals when he makes his eagerly anticipated return to racing at Gowran Park tomorrow.

Four horses have been declared for the twice-postponed Normans Grove Chase.

The rivals to Tom Taaffe's chaser are all Group One winners in the shape of Newmill from John Murphy's yard, the Martin Brassil-trained Nickname and Central House, to be ridden by Roger Loughran for his boss Dessie Hughes.

The race has been added to the card at the Co Kilkenny track after the dual abandonment of Fairyhouse.

Tomorrow's meeting is Gowran's big day of the year and is subject to an 8am track inspection, but officials gave conditions the thumbs-up after a check this morning.
