Gowran forced to inspect

Gowran’s meeting on Thursday, which is due to feature the long-awaited comeback of Kicking King, is subject to an 8am inspection tomorrow.

The course is currently raceable but further rain is forecast for the area.

“They’ve had six millimetres today,” said the Irish Turf Club’s Cliff Noone.

“They are going to have an inspection at 8am in the morning to further assess the situation.

“It has ceased raining at the moment but some more showers are forecast. They are raceable at present, however.

“The chances are they might look again but they are very keen to get it on.”
