Wetherby off

This afternoon’s meeting at Wetherby has been abandoned.

Officials inspected the track at 8am but conditions had not improved overnight after the recent wet spell.

A spokesman said: “We have had to abandon as there are one or two waterlogged or false patches of ground.

“We really didn’t need any rain overnight and we got three millimetres so conditions have not improved enough to race.”
